390 cfm 4 barrel with short boosters We
found a couple of classes across the country that specify a 390
carburetor and all it has to do is pass a venturi gauge test. We came
up with this and it worked extremely well so we thought we'd turn it
loose!
650 HP GAS Based on the Holley® #80541-1 Designed
to meet the gauge tests, maxed out to the gauge sizes, glass beaded,
tumbled and recolored to provide that stock appearing look. We add our
own metering circuits to stretch the torque and horsepower limits even
further.
650 HP ALCOHOL Based on the Holley® #80541-1 Originally
designed for the PA Tri-Track Circuit, this piece had to pass all the
gauge tests. We now use it for small cubic inche engines or for slick
track conditions with a 350 CID or larger engine.
DIRT 650 Based on the Holley® #4777 Designed
to meet the rules and gauges of the DIRT circuit in New York and Canada
- whatever they may be for this point in time - after having this rule
for about 10 years, they seem to keep finding new ways to tech and
alter the rules especially in Canada. Could it be the Canadian car
builders want everybody on crate motors and stock carburetors so that
they can spend more money on chassis and suspension parts?
